TEXAS HOLD’EM TOURNAMENT Sunday, July 20, 7:45 to 11:00 pm

Hosted by The Texas Spurs, “Support Arm of TGCA”, the tournament will be held in conjunction with the Casino
Party. Texas Hold 'Em is by far the best game for a beginner and seasoned players alike.

SPOUSE/GUEST EVENT Guest Speaker Susan Warren Monday, July 21, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm

Join TPCA First Lady Kay Arrell and TGCA First Lady Lynn Kelley for lunch with guest speaker, Susan Warren.  Ms. Warren is Deputy Bureau Chief for The Wall Street Journal in Dallas.  The Journal gives her freedom to pursue stories about other things she finds interesting.  Backyard Giants grew out of Ms. Warren’s October 2005 story about the trials of growing giant pumpkins. Ms. Warren worked nine years for the Houston Chronicle where she was posted in 1991 to the Middle East for the Persian Gulf War and its aftermath.  Ms. Warren will also share her insights of a female journalist covering the Persian Gulf War.

OPENING NIGHT GALA & LIVE AUCTION Monday, July 21, 6:30 to 10:00 pm

Prepare for a spectacular evening of fine food and entertainment. The Opening Night Gala will begin with a Reception followed by a fabulous dinner and the 12th Annual TPCA Live Auction.

The Live Auction is the highlight of the Opening Night Gala, with jewelry, trips, collectibles and many unique items being offered. Plan now to bring your personal checkbook or personal credit card to support TPCA PAC.

After the fabulous dinner and Live Auction, the crowd will be in stitches with an evening of fun and laughter with Buzz Sutherland.

100% clean and 200% funny. He has been at the very top of the college comedy world for the past 7-years winning comedian of the year honors a record 13 times. Also, named comedian of the year from the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) for the last 5-years the award was given. In addition, Sutherland was named overall entertainer of the year by NACA the final year of the awards.”

While the Opening Night Gala is underway, drop the kids off at the “Pizza & Movie Night” event planned especially for them.  They will be located adjacent to the Gala ballroom. Everyone will have a great time at their own event!

TGCA AWARDS BREAKFAST Tuesday, July 22, 8:00 am to 9:30 am

Join your fellow TGCA Members for an Awards Breakfast that will energize you for the day’s events including the TGCA & Texas Spurs Officers & Board of Directors installations. The program will also include awards presented: Quater & Half Century Club; Retailer, Wholesaler & Supplier of the Year; W.A. McCarty Scholarship; and TGCA Education Fund Scholarship.
